The Hornindalsvatnet Marathon is a race around Hornindalsvatnet, the deepest lake in Europe. There is also a Hornindalsvatnet Half Marathon, 10K and Minimarathon (4219.5 m).

Hornindalsvatnet Marathon Route
Starting on the national road west of Hornindal nursing home, runners head out on a tarmac path to Hornindal Sports Park. The slightly hilly, but mostly flat course continues on to Otredalen on the north side of Hornindalsvatnet, then continues for another three laps.
