The Kauai Marathon is described as "one of the most beautiful destination races in the world today". There is also the option to run a half marathon.

Kauai Marathon Route
Runners start and finish at the Poipu resort. The course is hilly, following the coastline before climbing to the top of Kalaheo, where participants will be rewarded with stunning ocean views. The route then descends back towards the coast, heading towards the finish line.

* Standard Entry : $240 (until 31 Dec), $265 (until 31 Mar), $285 (until 30 Jun), $295 (until 27 Aug)
* Kama'aina and Active Military : $200 (until 31 Dec), $225 (until 31 Mar), $245 (until 30 Jun), $255 (until 27 Aug)
* Registration Deadline : 27 August
