The Tokyo Marathon is organised by the Tokyo Marathon Foundation. It is one of the six World Marathon Majors. There is also a 10K race and a wheelchair marathon.

Tokyo Marathon Route
The race is point-to-point, following an urban course through the city streets. The race starts at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. From there, runner pass many significant sights throughout the city - Iidabashi, Imperial Palace, Hibiya, Shinagawa, Ginza, Nihonbashi, Asakusa Kaminari-mon, Tsukiji and Toyosu before finishing at the Tokyo Big Sight.
