Charles Darwin is one of Shrewsbury's most famous sons. The Charles Darwin Day Marathon is is run in Shrewsbury, in celebration of the Darwin's life. There is also a Darwin Day Half Marathon, 5K and a 10K.

Charles Darwin Day Marathon Route
Starting at the Shrewsbury Sports Village Sundorne Rd Shrewsbury, Shropshire, runners follow the purpose built cycle track. The event will be chip timed, so there is no need to worry about counting laps, just enjoy the course and the company of the other runners.
