The Kudos its Kirkstall Abbey Marathon is a trail marathon based around Kirkstall Abbey, in Leeds. It is organised by the 'It's Grim Up North Running' team, and is part of an event also including a half marathon, Ultra (32 miles), and 8.8 mile race.

Starting and finishing at Kirkstall Abbey, in Leeds, runners follow a multi-terrain course through the glorious trails surrounding the Abbey. The route involves a mixture of field, pavement, trail and canal towpath, giving participants an exciting blend of different terrains. An 8.8-mile loop plunges participants through sprawling paths that weave alongside the beautiful River Aire and Bramley Fall Park, including river crossings and twisting trail elements in the loop, ensuring that you're unlikely to forget this fantastic day out.
